Outline of the session:

This session aims to explore activities that can be used with students to promote asynchronous learning.  We will look at using communication and instructional language effectively to share tasks and identify key elements to include when setting asynchronous tasks and considering alternatives to online synchronous delivery.  

Learning outcomes:

  • To identify instructional language used when communicating asynchronous tasks with students.  
  • To discuss examples of asynchronous activities and analyse how they can be used effectively.
