Outline of session:  

This hands-on in person session will give an introduction to the assessments tools and engagement tools built into Blackboard Ultra.  This session will provide an overview of how to use some key features of Blackboard Ultra as well as give an overview of the Grade Centre, groups and analytics data built into the virtual learning environment. It will also go through basic communication methodologies using messages, announcements and discussions boards. 

Learning objectives:

• To explore how to use discussion boards and class conversations to create social elements within your course. 

• To understand how to manage and organise the Grade Centre. 

• To understand how to use assessment tools within Blackboard Ultra 

• To know how to manage and create groups within Blackboard.  

• To understand how to Import and manage questions pools 

• Progress tracking and analytics in Ultra 

How to book

Bookings should be made through your MyView account, just log on and go to: 

• My Training and Development. 
• New Course Booking. 

You can search for the course by entering key words from the title.  Alternatively, if you select ‘Digital Education’ under ‘type’ and click the ‘search’ button, this will show you all of our courses. Please be aware that to book a course you first click on the title, then select the date. Once this is done, click book.
