Getting Started in Large Lecture Theatres

1. To start touch the lectern control panel.

It may be on a full sized monitor such as this

or on a smaller panel located on the lectern as shown below.

2. Log in using your normal UoL credentials and wait for PowerPoint, Panopto and Blackboard to start.

3. Log in to Blackboard and authenticate using MFA (this will also
   log you into Panopto and O365 including PowerPoint.

4. Panopto audio and camera defaults should already be set, so
   there is no need to change them – you may need to check that
   microphones have not been muted on the lectern controls.

5. To use lapel or handheld mics, press and hold the power button
   as shown until a green light shows.

6. Double-check the ‘folder’ name in Panopto is the one that you want. Default will be your ‘My Folder’ area, but you can change this to the module folder from the drop-down menu.

7. Press the ‘Record’ button on Panopto and begin teaching.

8. Once you have finished teaching, remember to stop the Panopto recording and click ‘Done.’

9. Please remember to turn off microphones and
   replace them in their charging station so that
   the charging lights illuminate.
