The Blackboard AI Design Assistant and AI Conversation Activity provide academic staff with innovate tools to support the process of building the learning materials and structure for your Blackboard module, as well as new formative simulation-based assessment opportunities. In this practical session we will explore the opportunities and challenges presented by these tools. Discover how to implement interactive AI-driven activities such as Socratic Questioning tasks and Role Play scenarios. These activities foster critical thinking and active learning, providing students with a dynamic and immersive learning experience. Additionally, learn how to efficiently create comprehensive learning modules, engaging discussion and journal prompts, and devise formative assessment tasks for future module deliveries.
Course objectives/learning outcomes:
- To critique the opportunities and challenges presented by Blackboard AI tools.
- To implement interactive AI-driven activities such as Socratic Questioning tasks and Role Play scenarios.
- To create comprehensive learning modules efficiently using the AI Design Assistant.
