Microsoft Forms for Academic and Teaching Staff

This session is designed to help you to enhance student engagement and gather real-time feedback using live polls within your teaching sessions such as a lecture or seminar. This is often referred to as an audience response tool. It will demonstrate how to design and set up interactive polls that capture and display student responses instantly for you to discuss and synthesise with your learners. You will learn how to embed it into Microsoft PowerPoint and how to share with students to ensure maximum participation. Finally, you will be shown how to view and export poll results. By the end of this course, you will be equipped with the skills to create, share and view live polls making your teaching interactive. 

Course objectives/learning outcomes

  • To learn how to create a live poll in Microsoft Forms.
  • To understand how to embed a live poll into Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • To share a live poll to your students in a teaching session.
  • To view the results of a poll activity and discuss with your students.

 

How to book

You can search for the course by entering key words from the title.  Alternatively, if you select ‘Digital Services’ under ‘type’ and click the ‘search’ button, this will show you all of our courses.
