Blackboard Ultra: Assessment and Grades
Description
This hands-on in-person workshop provides a targeted introduction to the assessment and grading tools within Blackboard Ultra. We will explore a Blackboard Assignment and how these can be used for a range of non-essay-based assignments such as portfolios of work. Attendees will explore the ‘Flexible Grading Interface’ which allows markers to easily navigate through student’s submissions for a particular assignment. Most of the workshop will focus on the Grade Centre, the area of the Blackboard module used to manage marks and feedback, and will cover topics such as:
- Entering feedback and posting grades.
- Developing Blackboard Assignment Rubrics.
- Calculating weighted or total marks for multiple assessments.
- Managing and customising the Grade Centre experience.
Note: Turnitin Assignment and Blackboard Tests (known often as MCQs or Online Exams) are covered in separate Digital Training Week sessions and will not be explored in this workshop.
