Description

This session will give you an introduction to our lecture recording system, Panopto. This tool is used to record your screen, camera and presentations during live lecture sessions or can be used to create micro lectures and wider video resources. This session will provide a comprehensive overview of how to record and create microlectures and short videos using Panopto. This includes good practice when designing and preparing your video content, including timing, script writing and tips for recording. Attendees will also be encouraged to discuss the different ways video resources can be incorporated into your teaching. Attendees will be given 10 minutes to record a short video within Panopto, with the opportunity to ask facilitators for support.

By the end of this session you will be able:

• To understand the process of recording microlectures.
• To discuss the value and different options for including video resources in your teaching.
• To identify the key steps for planning a clear and effective video resources.
• To practice recording a video in Panopto.
