The session will cover:

This session will provide information on: The importance of accessibility on your module sites and the basic principles Using Blackboard Ally to review and improve module content, Awareness of methods to enhance the accessibility of text, images and other digital files. In addition it will; discuss the importance of creating accessible learning materials, Using Blackboard Ally to review and improve module content, Awareness of methods to enhance the accessibility of text, images and other digital files on Blackboard and how to amend accessibility issues.

Learning objectives:

  • To be able to use Blackboard Ally to review and improve module content
  • To understand the importance of Accessibility.
  • To be able to create accessible learning materials and revise old PowerPoint and Word files so that they are accessible.
  • To be aware of other methods to enhance the accessibility of text, images and other digital files.
  • To understand some key approaches and quick tips for resolving accessibility issues.
