Turnitin Draft Coach is a digital writing assistant that helps students improve their academic writing by providing real-time feedback on their drafts. This tool supports students in producing high-quality, original work by offering insights into similarity, citation, and grammar.

This short session is designed to cover the essentials required for using Turnitin Draft Coach, such as setting up the tool, understanding its feedback mechanisms, and integrating it with online word processors like Microsoft Word for the web. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how to leverage the tool for continuous improvement in writing.

Course objectives/learning outcomes:

  • To recognise how this tool encourages and enhances academic integrity.
  • To be able to setup and configure Draft Coach in Microsoft Word.
  • To understand and navigate the core features.
  • To be able to interpret the feedback provided in the similarity, citation, and grammar checkers.

How to book

Bookings should be made through your MyView account, just log on and go to: 

  • My Training and Development. 
  • New Course Booking. 

You can search for the course by entering key words from the title.  Alternatively, if you select ‘Digital Services’ under ‘type’ and click the ‘search’ button, this will show you all of our courses. Please be aware that to book a course you first click on the title, then select the date. Once this is done, click book.
